Our History
From Coffee to Computers
Founded by Wesley Kronick, NW IT Guys is a culmination of 20+ years of tech industry experience, working with huge international companies as well as one-to-one consulting. It all began with coffee, computers and a thirst to learn anything and everything about technology.
Kronick latched on to the Internet in its infancy during the early 90s, helping companies set up Internet service and create a web presence. And remember the first days of the Internet café? With a background in the coffee industry and a love for computers, Kronick pioneered some of the first wired cafes and was one of the industry's first Internet consultants. In the late 90s, he was hired as Directing Manager for MSNBC Online to build the model that became the standard for news sites today, while managing $10 million annual budgets and his team of tech gurus—one of whom was Matt Teemer, an experienced IT pro and tech consultant since 1990.
Wesley Kronick and Matt Teemer found they worked well together, complimenting each other's multiple tech specialties (one being the god of Exchange Server and email with other being a web dev and database master). The two left MSNBC for a startup, then began pursuing other goals. Teemer provided consulting and technical staffing for Vulcan (founded by Paul Allen) and Kronick consulted as a Senior technician and Enterprise Solutions expert for an IT services agency until their paths crossed again just two years later when Kronick started NWIT Guys in 05. With more client referrals than he knew what to do with, Kronick once again called on Teemer to join his team in 06 with plans to help the company grow from two enterprise level consultants to a larger group of highly experience IT professionals.
Today NW IT Guys is a handful of IT specialists who work as a team to provide small and medium-sized businesses with the computer-related technologies needed to compete and succeed in today's marketplace.
